Speaker 1:

Hello, welcome back to another episode of the Will's Way podcast. I hope everyone's keeping blessed. I just want to say a huge thank you, huge thank you to everyone that's listening, downloading, tuning in, watching the videos, commenting on the videos, sharing the videos. The little things to me make the biggest differences. And it's funny because we talked about consistency last week. And you know, in this day and age, with this instant gratification, sometimes it's so easy to get impatient with where you want to be. But honestly, with this particular podcast, I'm taking it easy, I'm being chilled with it. I'm not rushing it, I just want to be able to put value out there and whatever comes from it comes if that makes sense. I'm not putting pressure on it, but of course I want to reach as many people as possible. But I also know that all success is always based upon real graft, grit, determination and resilience over a longer period of time, opposed to just doing a few podcasts and expecting to get a lot out of it. And we talked about the law of compensation as well. We talked about how much you put in is what you get out, and generally you've got to be able to have some form of time scale to put the work in, even to get back what you would deserve within the universe and all the rest of it. So, honestly, the talking points we've already touched upon so far have been great, but what I want to try to touch on today is you know as well, guys, we get 20 minutes. That's what I want to try to keep them down to no less than kind of no, no longer than 20, no less than kind of 30. I want to be in that ballpark because what I want from these podcasts is you guys to actually say, yeah, I'm going to take that piece of advice or that little bit of wisdom or that gem that was dropped there and I'm going to be able to include it in my own life. So I don't want it to be just 20 minutes of conversation. Do you know what I mean? I want it to be able to be really good convo and a good listen, but also to be able to take some form of lesson out of each podcast, and what I want to do actually is put after I've done enough of these is put together a short little e-book or PDF and the subject or the lesson that was brought from each podcast, and then write a paragraph on it as a like a little short ebook to send out there. That would be amazing. How cool would that be. But also, I have to be able to do these podcasts to be able to create the content for that to even happen. So for me, really important that we keep this consistent and we keep going.

Speaker 1:

But today's podcast I want to talk about something really cool. I want to talk about thriving to achieve your goals whilst living in the present moment and also trying to get the balance between both of them elements and try to also understand why do people get upset and down. Do you know, mean what is the reason why we get in a rut and we can't motivate ourselves? And where does that form a sadness to depression? Where does that go? Where does it lead and why do we get in that state? And also, how do we ensure that we be proactive enough to to not be in that state as well?

Speaker 1:

And it kind of really whittles down to two areas and it is having balance in life is so profound in any kind of spiritual law Having balance to be able to say I can, you know, be able to work hard in these different sectors, but also not be lopsided with my efforts, so I'm letting other things fall is a real art to life. It's a real mastery that we need to all learn and, to be honest, that mastery is not something that you get instantly. It takes a lot of experience, a lot of failing to know what went wrong, and also it takes a lot of resilience to be able to get where you need to be in the future. So this particular concept that I'm thinking about is also ensuring that within your life, that you have sets of goals or something or a purpose or something to achieve, and also a measure for you to improve something or get better at something, and for that journey to be an infinite journey, something that can't be completed, because when you get to a certain mountain, there's more goals to be able to get off the end of it. Okay, that, for any human being, is just so vitally important, because if we don't feel like we're aiming towards something, or we don't feel like we're actually trying to achieve something, we can almost lose our purpose in life, and they call it Dharma in kind of spiritual philosophy, and Dharma means what is your life purpose Like?

Speaker 1:

It's originated around the fact that we all have a beautiful gift or a talent on this earth and we've all been gifted with something and our purpose is to be able to A recognise what that talent is and, b to be able to really try to influence the world and help the world through the talents that we've been gifted by the universe. So I generally feel like when we don't have that thing to be able to go push towards or try to improve, it can leave us feeling really demotivated. It can leave us feeling like we're not really worthy. And it is because I personally believe that we all have a purpose to actually use our talents to the greater good if that makes sense. And when you're not doing that, you get left with emptiness inside. But that also is like a barometer to also let you know as a feeling that there's something not quite right and we need to find something.

Speaker 1:

And a lot of people get really lost with this because when they get into them depths of kind of despair or sadness or depression, they forget about this purpose, this gift and their purpose, of how valuable they actually are to this life. And you do have an intrinsic value and a gift, because if you didn't, you wouldn't be here. We wouldn't be on this earth to be able to do what we need to do. And when people fall into that trap, they fall into the trap of thinking they're worthless and they don't actually have an impact here. And it's a faulty way of thinking, because we all have an impact here, we all have something to do and we've all been given some form of gift or some sort form of mission to be able to go out and improve the world in a way.

Speaker 1:

And it could be. For example, you could be an incredible artist and you could. You could draw, and them drawings just make people feel like amazing and it gets people lost and it keeps being inspired and inspired. You know you. You know you might have a job to be a carer or a nurse or someone who's just here to care for people and really use that talent and skill of communication to be able to care and do you know what I mean nurture and, you know, be able to give value. In that way, you might be a musician, you might have a really good voice, you might be I don't know even a politician.

Speaker 1:

There's something to say and something to be able to go out there and use within your advantage and what I'm saying this kind of gift that we all have is so variant, so wide, it's so spontaneous with so many different people because there's so many different people in the world. But if we was all the same, with the same gift, we wouldn't be able to influence the world in that way that we do. So being able to have something is extremely important and, don't get me wrong, I still think you can be happy without having this particular thing. I'm not saying that's that's a case, but I think we can get to our full potential of happiness and our full potentiality when we do a. What that thing is is that we're gifted to do and the one thing that we hold a lot of passion for generally, that thing you're gifted to do, you're very good at. Does that make sense?

Speaker 1:

You know as well within your life there's something that you can do very well and you'll notice there's a gift somewhere and also some hobbies people have. They'll just have this resonance with it and they'll get obsessed with it and when you feel that obsession and that passion, that's like the life force, energy, saying this is it. This is something that I need to tap into now. This is something that I need to try to harness and hold and give to the world, if that makes sense as well. So when you find it and that's the first thing, it's just finding it first, all right. You need to be aware that's even there to find something, and a lot of people are not even aware of this right. So the awareness comes first of just thinking, actually there is something out there that I'm really good at, and if you don't even know what that is and you might not know, you might not know now, and everyone has a different timeline as well. Also, we all have to remember we don't you know, we necessarily might need to learn things before we jump on.

Speaker 1:

That timeline, like timeline, is such a paradoxical way of thinking of things and it can also create a lot of faulty thinking in the sense that I'm getting too old to do this, or I'm you know, when you think of time that way, you're thinking as a scarcity model. And don't get me wrong, time is precious and I get it Like people say oh, we're running out of time, you got to do what you got to do, but don't let that particular saying actually actually put you off from doing at all. Do you know what I mean? Because that's completely contradictive. Do you know what I mean. You can't fall into the trap of saying, oh, there's no time left, so I'm not going to bother. Do you know what I mean? There's no time left, I have to do it. That has to be flipped in that type of way. Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 1:

So having the awareness of being able to go push for something is extremely important. Just having that you know, and then actually going out and trying to improve yourself day on day in, to be able to say what do I need to be, what type of human do I need to be to get to that level of being able to express my gift in the biggest way. And that's when real abundancy comes right. That's when real gifts comes, because what you give is what you get. But when you give your passion, there's a weird kind of formula that allows this thing to be multiplied as a multiplier or compound. It's weird.

Speaker 1:

When you really apply your talent within the thing you're supposed to do, you will see yourself move very quickly, and I'm not saying that it will all come to you. Attraction is true, but attraction only comes after you do the work to become the person that magnetizes that same frequency. And this is what I mean about hard work. A lot of people think, oh, I've got to really work hard on the job. No, work hard on you, work hard on making sure you're the most magnetic person to that frequency or whatever you want in life to then able to attract that. And I'm not saying don't work hard in your job, but make sure that you make yourself magnetic first, because if you can do that and work hard, I promise you the results will come tenfold because you're not having to go chase people when you've got a magnetic pull to you. When you do chase as well, it comes quicker. Then you can move on to the next and move on to the next. And that's really important that we do that.

Speaker 1:

And I think as well in life that you've got to be able to have this thing in front of you every single day and have that thing that you want to wake up for. Do you know what I mean? And just want to go out? Do you know what I mean and just want to go out? Do you know what I mean? And usually when you have that goal of what you need to be, it's not easy, it's difficult and it's humbling as well, because life as well, can you know, even it is your passion, you love doing it. Life will test you on this road to enable you to teach you the lessons that you need to learn to get the full potential out of it.

Speaker 1:

And this is the problem with failure as well. A lot of people think failure is just the end, failure is just the start. It's all mindset. It's all how we look at this, this life. It's all how we look at it. How do we frame it in our minds to think, did that happen for me or did it happen against me? Because the same thing can happen to anyone, but it's the way that we perceive that is going to shape what happens next as a karmic rule within our lives.

Speaker 1:

So we've really got to be able to understand what our actions are and be aware of the way we're feeling in life is such an important thing. So you know when we're thriving, when we're thriving for our goal, our dharma, our purpose. We also have to be so very careful because you know we can fall into traps of of that one thing being overly obsessive. And you know we talked about the pillars of life in the first podcast and we talked about the different areas of life that we also need to really work on and also being aware of all of them areas as well. But should our purpose fall into one of them areas and it could be in any of the areas, really it could be if we don't ensure that the other areas still balance along with that purpose, we can still get lopsided and we still can't really go where we need to go, because we're we're not balanced within the circle of of them pillars as well and really understanding that all the other things are extremely important to be able to feed the, the purpose side of what you're doing, because without the support, without the family, the family, without the friends, without all of that behind you, you're going to probably struggle to be able to get where you need to be, but also you need to look after them as well.

Speaker 1:

It's a give and take relationship between that. It's a give and take thing with energy, and sometimes we do get lost with that when we are so passionate about what we're doing and we get lost in the madness and as well, sometimes, when we're on these incredible journeys in life, we also forget how to celebrate the moment and how to be present within it, and it's a very paradoxical thing. When you're striving to be present, it's really hard because on one side, you're really going for it, you're getting the goals, you get to a goal, you're on to the next, you're on to the next and you've got this flow and you've got this state of momentum where you're onto the next and you've got this, this flow, and you've got this state of the momentum where you're really trying to go. But at the same time, when you're in that way of being, it's very difficult to ground yourself within the moment and and actually see how far you've come.

Speaker 1:

And it was really weird with with me, even at maintain for the first kind of the scale years when when we'll come on after that we scaled really quickly and we had this incredible influx of work and we had these projects and I've never, ever seen so much like prosperity and abundance come in a quick space of time and as much as we are so driven by it, you know, making sure we deliver these projects. I kind of almost bled out to it all and it was really like an incredible time in the business and I don't really remember it all, you know, I'm not saying I don't remember, but it's and I don't really remember it all. You know, I'm not saying I don't remember, but it's weird because I don't feel like we ever celebrated anything along the way. It was always just go, go, go and it was never really reflect. Reflect as well. And I'm not saying that I didn't want to go that fast. Of course I wanted to go that fast. Of course I wanted to scale where we're scaling.

Speaker 1:

But what I did want to also do is embrace it and like what is the point in life if we're running through this life, this, this, this life we call this game, we call life? We're running through it day by day and we're completing levels and completing levels, and we're only doing it just to get to the end rather than enjoy the process of it. And that's kind of how it also got with me when I used to play video games, because when you get immersed in the process of a video game, it doesn't matter really about the end and you get quite gutted when the end happens. But I feel like as you get older and you play, you just play to get to the end. You don't play for enjoyment anymore and that it's not weird that as time goes on, as we get older, we're just trying to get the results out of it without having the part that the result should bring. And isn't that a weird paradox as we get older?

Speaker 1:

And this is something I really considered the other day, because when we was in that scale type part of the business, I couldn't remember a massive amount of it, even though it was probably the most incredible time, and we actually reflect on our figures and that second year was just a record. We literally our turnover went up by four times in one year. That's how mad it was at the time. And it was weird because we didn't even comprehend that, because obviously our financial years is April to April and we was doing, you know, looking at back at the figures from Jan to December, and that January to December, and that January to December, that particular year, 2002, was just insane and we didn't realize how much we actually made then. So when we reflected on that, we was like, wow, what do we learn out of this whole scenario? Well, we learned that we probably didn't invest as much as we should have done.

Speaker 1:

Granted, they're logical things, but we also learned that we didn't really embrace that time and I think that also now has ingrained in me to make sure that the day-to-day. We're living it. We're here, we're present, we're enjoying it. We're enjoying the workout. Yeah, we're enjoying that cold water dip in the morning. Man, do you know I'm saying we're at work, doing something. We're working, we're here, we're in the present, we're doing what we do.

Speaker 1:

Let's also live in this moment and really embrace life for what it is and enjoy it. Take a breath, man. Like get up earlier, bro, do some meditation. Like embrace this life. Why are we sleeping it away? Do you know what I'm saying? Like we've got to really get to that stage now where we think this is, this is special. We're here. Do you know what I'm saying? So the art of thriving and art of being present at the same time is my new mantra, it's my new motto, right, because we need to be able to express our passion and express our purpose. That's what we hear, and if we don't do that, we will fall into sadness and depression. We will.

Speaker 1:

A lot of people are already there, not realizing that they can get out of it, because they have something to give and they don't realize they're worthy of them things. But at the same time, we also have the people that do know their purpose and their striving and they're not living for today, they're not in the present right, they're not distributing themselves evenly to where they should be, across all the pillars of life. You know, they might be doing the thing they love, but they may be doing it to an obsessional rate that is destroying everything else. And when you're in that rate and you're not doing, you're not living, because you're just looking at the future and you're not in the now, you know. So being able to scale it out and balance both of them things in anyone's life is so, so important. So how do we do it?

Speaker 1:

The paradox is there, isn't it? You know we live life in the fast lane. How do you see out the window and how do you look at all the things that go by without missing them? The window and how do you look at all the things that go by without missing them? Right? How do we go fast and slow? How do we go slow and fast? Like these are the paradoxical questions that don't seem to marry or make sense, but they can make sense and they will make sense when you start to slow down your life, you start to take the deep breaths and you start to plan and visualize what the future looks like by living in the now, and that's how you stay present and that's how you become magnetized to be able to get your dreams and goals and be able to explain your purpose to the world in a way that is enjoyable and gives you the value and gives you this lease for life that nobody ever, has ever seen from you before.

Speaker 1:

Because when you're in that form of passion, when you're in that flow state, when you're really communicating from the universe, from the infinite intelligence inside you, that is the place where you are really supposed to be all of the time. But it's only our minds that take us out of that. It's only our perceptions that take us out of that, and the idea is that we need to also in the rush. To be crazy is spend time and allocate time out, and we've got to block our time out and we've got to say, right, that time there is dedicated for me to plan, that time there is dedicated for me to meditate Do you know what I mean? And prioritize them things. Right. If we just say, yeah, okay, I'm going to use all of my time to work because I've got too much to do, well, the reality of that is you've not prioritized within that work? You haven't, because we've always going to have so much to do.

Speaker 1:

And this is another thing that we have to get our head around, because if you're a busy fool all of your life, you'll be a busy fool all of your life until you take the stand to say, right, right now, I am going to prioritize what I need to do and the rest can wait and have faith that you know whatever you're doing is going to come to fruition. Because you've got to have that faith and there's going to be some things you leave. Right, there is you can't do it all. You can't not when you've got all these things on your plate and you're striving to be the best you can be. But one thing you can do is control what is important. So how do we do that? Well, first of all, you've got to understand what's important. How do you know what's important to you? Right? How do you know what's important? Right, because if you don't state that, you'll default to what the universe thinks or what your environment thinks is important. Okay, you've got to state what's important to you.

Speaker 1:

Who do you want to be? And that's in the part of the planning. You know, what type of person do I want to be? What type of father do I want to be? What type of husband do I want to be? What type of person do I want to be? What type of person to my community do I want to be? What type of worker do I want to do? What type of leader, what type of leader do I want to be? Now, that that's the one. That's the one type of leader. You don't have to own a company to be a leader. You can be a leader in any form, in your family, whatever, and when you state them things, you'll also then place value in the sense that you're taking time out to be that person without really having to be able to look at all the other things. And this is where the planning side and the reflection side of your life can really really take hold.

Speaker 1:

So next time, when you're either thinking that I don't have a purpose, have a think about what it could be. Think about the fact that you do have a gift to give the world, and how can you tap into that? Yeah, how can you love that part of you? And then then what you need to do is, when you find it is, enjoy the journey so much at the point where you're so present with it, and also prioritize your time to be balanced. And I mean that is the number one Prioritize your time to be balanced, yeah, make it, make a stand and don't let your brain trick you into thinking other things are important when you know for a fact that the all rounder person you need to be is right there. And, trust me, guys, when you get that balance, really well formed from all of them things, abundancy comes in most areas and that's that's true attraction, because now we're balanced right, and when we're balanced, we can reach higher frequencies of feeling. Do you know what I mean? Because we know we can resonate with the love that we've got within this life. That's going to attract the things that we want.

Speaker 1:

So, guys, I hope you enjoyed this podcast. Stay blessed, remember, keep your dreams alive, keep thriving towards them, keep finding your passions, but in the same time, keep balanced and keep every single part of the journey, enjoy it, embrace it, celebrate every little win and also every single failure we learn from. You know, know that's the way forward. Take care, guys. Have a blessed day.
