Your goals don’t need another pep talk. They need a backbone.

This episode is about doing the work when no one’s clapping. About the small, unsexy habits that quietly stack up while everyone else is waiting to “feel motivated.” I talk about why procrastination sounds so convincing, how it keeps renegotiating your future, and what actually breaks that cycle—structure, not hype.

We get honest about “overnight success.” The years of graft in silence. The boring reps. The days where progress feels invisible. I share how I learned to train my brain to show up on command, not when it feels like it. How habit tracking should be a mirror, not a weapon. Feedback, not guilt.

We also talk polarity. You don’t get the highs without the lows. The grind gives meaning to the breakthrough. A positive mental attitude isn’t pretending it’s easy—it’s holding your aim steady when it’s hard.

And then there’s flow. Those moments when ideas just land and execution feels clean. Call it intuition, flow state, infinite intelligence—whatever you believe, you can build the conditions for it. Quiet moments. Short meditations. Distraction-free blocks. A system that moves ideas into action before fear gets a vote.

This is about locking in for the year—your craft, your family, your platform. No noise. No excuses. Just consistent action.

If you’re done negotiating with procrastination and ready to start stacking small wins, hit play. Subscribe. And commit to one habit this week.
 Your future self is listening.

Hello reliability gang. Hope you're keeping well. Welcome back to another episode of the Wills Way podcast. Big up to everyone that tuned into the first one about setting goals. I hope everyone's set their goals. I hope everyone's got a planner and ready to run riot on 2026, man. Do you know what I mean? Like, we've got to take it. It's got to be ours and we've got to take it. But in order to take it, you've got to know where you're going, man. You've got to have the plan. You've got to have the strategy. You've got to have the consistencies and all the little things that are going to pull you there over time. And you're going to get you're going to get there as long as you stay consistent. So today's podcast is about two things. One, consistency and the importance of doing the small things every day. And how do how do you lock in to do that? I'm going to give you some tips of how to make that bit right. Because if you get that right, your projectory changes tenfold, and and it's simple also to track and measure. Then the complete opposite of that, which is procrastination. Do you know what I mean? What are the triggers? How do we overcome it? How do we know we're in it? Because sometimes our awareness takes us out to the fact that we are in it, and our brain is playing tricks on us to stop us from doing what we need to do. And also how to overcome it. Do you know what I mean? So basically, they're two sides of a different coin, if I'm being honest. When you're consistently doing things, you're being consistent, you're being very kind of good to your future. You know what you what it takes to become what you need to do, and you're doing the small little things every single day to be able to get you to the next stage. Okay. Procrastination is the complete opposite. When we know what we should be doing, maybe we should be doing work, we should be fitting the work in, going to the gym, putting the reps in, and our brain has just got into this. Any excuse to get out of it, I possibly can and work your way around it. And it is a model blocker for people nowadays in this day and age. I think I see so many people with ADHD, so many people that have poor attention deficit anyway, and for them to be able to continuously do a task or be able to ensure that everything's done is difficult. Do you know what I mean? So consistency. How do we stay consistent? So, consistency, what does it mean? Let's look at the definition of consistency. All right, it's doing the small things, doing them every single day, and doing them repeatably in that time frame. So, you know, if you say I'm gonna go to the gym seven times a week, there's a metric, there's a number, and when you fulfill every single day, if you do every single day, that is regarded as consistent. You've been consistent that week. Couple that with good eating and meal prep, and you've done that from Monday to Friday every single day, you've been consistent eating well. Couple that with your good planning, what you're doing, writing your goals, making sure you're getting the most important things done, is then going to multiply that. So consistency can never ever unlock success unless you do it regularly. And this is such a hard thing for humankind to do, okay? So one thing that we fail at most of the time is actually doing the same thing and doing it, and it can get boring because you know, let's be honest, to be able to do the same things over and over and over, or things you don't want to do, it's quite easy to avoid them things, but they're the things remember that if you don't do, you're gonna actually be out of whack with your future in terms of where your plans and goals and what they are. Okay, so procrastination can happen really, really commonly when we're trying to be consistent and we've got these little mental blocks, and there's things in our minds that's playing tricks on us to stop us doing the tasks that we deem boring or that we don't want to do, and do something a little bit more easier. Do you know what I mean? To try to sink into back into the comfort zone of the way that you're thinking, and every human being has this faculty where you have to train that part of your brain to be able to be more strong, right? If you don't know how to train that part of the brain and start to overcome that, you will become victim to it. And I've seen so many people in a rut, and that's where the rut is. So when I haven't developed the mindset strong enough to overcome the painful things you have to do and the things you don't want to do to become successful where you need to be, and it's a vicious cycle because then until you do these things, you never get out of it, and then when you're not out of it, you're unhappy, and then it just this horrible cycle kind of you know appears around you staying in the same place and not being able to propel yourself. Because remember, human beings, they all have this innate ability to be able to improve. We've got that thing inside of us that just says, you know, we need to evolve to the next stage of our, you know, of our full potential. Do you know what I mean? And I think everyone's got that, and I think when we don't fulfil that side, there's always this part of us that is always upset we didn't achieve it. Do you know what I mean? And I think I think our big purpose in life is to be able just to be aligned with that and be happy with what you're doing or your efforts to it. Do you know what I'm saying? Don't get me wrong, some people get beautiful luck in life, they do, and I think a lot of people create their own luck, if I'm honest, in terms of the things that they attract into their life. I do believe that, you know, I do believe energy attracts to energy and what you are thinking and what you're doing. But you have to remember that if you haven't got the ability to build that faculty of failure and be able to go back out there and try to win, it doesn't matter where you're at, what you're doing. If you haven't cultivated that mindset, you can't become successful, you can't become the person that is going to be able to have a lot of money. And because you remember, the guys that have wealth, that have financial abundance are the people that do the small things every single day. Do you know what I mean? There's no qu there's no there's no get rich quick scheme, really, when you think about it. Even all the YouTubers and all the people assume they've just blown up overnight. Do you know how many times I've had to post videos? How many times I've had to, do you know what I mean, try to think of ideas? And do you know how many times I've you don't know how many times, you don't seen it, you haven't been behind that story. Do you know what I mean? The first year when I built my business, right? And the first year was was excruciatingly hard. It was difficult, man. I thought I would be busy in the first six months. Do you know what I mean? I had this not cockiness, but this assertiveness and this sureness that I could do it. And I'm so glad I had that delusional thinking. But with the faculties I had at the time in the person that I was, I wasn't able to be able to sustain it. So I had to go on that personal development journey. It forced me onto it. I had to make a choice whether I want to go on this journey or want to turn around because I'm not gonna be able to succeed with that mindset and that person I was then would just fail. It's just not the person I ever wanted to be, either, looking back on it. And it's beautiful now that you can see yourself on the other side of success. And don't get me wrong, there's there's always a mountain. It's just and the mountain does go down as well, you know what I'm saying? It goes up and down. Do you know what I'm saying? But when you get on the other side of it, you overcome that, and you witness a bit of struggle from it. That's what real life is, and that's you know, that's the polarity and the beauty in the struggle. Do you know what I'm saying? You know, you don't know what happy is unless you felt sad. You don't know what you know sadness is until you feel happy. We need polarity, we need the waveform, we need the ups and we need the downs. Because without the ups, there's no downs, and without the downs, there's no ups. We we can't coexist with them two kind of polarities opposing each other, and we've got to be able to understand that we both we need a bit of both, you know, you need a bit of struggle, but then also teaches you when the good times are good what what good is because you need a contrast to that type of feeling. So, one of the books as well that I really loved, and it does kind of epitomize this kind of podcast and kind of goes down the same realms of understanding is James Clear Atomic Habits, and it was a very much you know a eye-opener in the sense that if we can form habits that we do consistently every single day and we just carry on doing them, we build this mental faculty for success. We build this mental toughness to be able to keep going and keep doing the same thing. That's why habit tracking in in journals is so so important because when we look at that habit track and we we miss a few days or we don't do it, it gives us a reflection or our mind that we're not doing the things we need to be doing. And as humans, we need to always be having that constant feedback with the reality of how we are actually doing in reality, which is written down in terms of your planner or whatever you're trying to log. And the fact that also sometimes that you're gonna be so far from the goalpost sometimes, but it's about how do we get back and how do we okay. I've read that, I've understood I'm behind, I need to now change what I'm doing next week or the next two weeks to be able to rectify. So this is where self-reflection, also, in terms of making sure your habits are done consistently, is so important, and and and the book Atomic Habits was so simple, and it wasn't like you know, when you read these books sometimes and they're hard to get on with and they're really difficult to be able to just like compute and and comprehend, and you know, it can be quite heavy on your head. When when I listened to that book, it was just so easy to understand and read, and it was the most simplest ideas. And when you realize that most of life's principles are over the most simplest ideas like consistency and doing the small things every day, turning up and keeping a PMA, you start to understand that the blueprint in terms of success is actually written in the same key. So when I read the book To Think and Grow Rich, it said there's a master key, there's a key there within this book or a saying or a message or a knowing that you'll get when you read the book, and some people have different interpretations of it. But then for me, when I'm looking at kind of how how do we become successful, how do I also help other people and coach other people potentially to be able to see this other side of things? I don't think it's necessarily about teaching, it's more about awareness and awakening people. You know, you say one thing, it's ah, something the penny drops, that's when the comprehension and understanding then goes in to be able to change people's lives and outlooks, right? And this is also these podcasts for me. This is a train of thought, like they call this universe, okay, energy, and everything is energy, but there's there's also something called infinite intelligence that is written within the Napoleon Hill books, and it's something so fascinating in terms of how the mass potential mind and some of the beauties of how the universe and you know how it can flow and how we can get ideas, and this is where hunches come from, and this is where energy sparks, and we get these beautiful creative times where we can be very creative with what we're doing within it, whether it's in our business or music or or creativity within content creation, is that when we tap into something called infinite intelligence, it allows us to be able to tap into something else that also the universe is. Do you know what I mean? And these ideas, like most ideas, you know, look at Einstein, some of the relative ideas he had as well. And you know, a lot of these came to him. It wasn't really like a logical thought process, and it was when almost you're in this flow state where things and ideas flow to you, do you know what I mean? They're the they're the times that we need to be able to to witness understand, and that's why also for me meditation is important or being in moments of meditation that allow you to be able to feel that infinite or that flow state, to be able to get these ideas and then be able to implement them here in this life. Do you know what I'm saying? And if if we can be able to use our voices as vessels and be able to use our voices uh and and what we feel is right to be able to express, right, we should be able to inspire people, and this is what this is about. This is what Will's Way is about, you know what I mean? It's about inspiring people. You know I don't want you to be here if you listen to this and you're like, do you know what? If this doesn't make you tingle, don't listen to it. If this doesn't resonate with you and sit right with where you're going, don't listen to it. Right, you're not ready for it. Do you know what I'm saying? You know, and I wish I loved everyone to do that, but also I do talk in depth. I do talk quite far beyond, do you know what I mean? And you know, these subjects that I talk about, alright, they're not gonna be this generic AI generated outputs, all this shit, and I just read through it. That's not the way that this shit goes. It's not how it's gonna roll. This is purely in the momentary stuff. Do you know what I'm saying? Me, the mic, no script, nothing. Just me talking from the flow state, because that is where the beauty is. Okay, so sometimes these podcasts are gonna be very insightful, they're gonna be like, Whoa, this guy's tapped in. Do you know what? Sometimes I might not be tapped in, I might be completely off the mark. Do you know what I mean? I might not be resonating that energy, and that's gonna happen as well. And I'm totally cool with that. Do you know what I mean? So remember, guys, consistency is the most important thing we can do. Keeping a positive mental attitude in terms of our vision, having the strategy and just execution, just keep doing what you said you're gonna do, and you do it as quick as you possibly can. And when you get into that stuff, you don't stop, you keep going, and then everything should be noise at that point. You don't let your emotions or the feedback of what's happening, even along that journey, get to you. You just carry on, you just keep blinkers on, you just keep looking down that road. Do you know what I mean? You don't stop, man. You continue to be able to deliver and execute on all of the plans that you've said that you've done with consistency, and you log it and you make sure you go on that journey. And this is what I'm gonna do to the nth degree this year with everything. Do you know what I'm saying? There's a few barriers and blocks in my head. Do you know what I mean? There's a few things that I know that I need to overcome, and just even doing this podcast and putting it out there is it, you know, it for me is breaking some barriers as well. Because this is almost like therapy for me as well, sometimes. You know what I'm saying? When you're kind of just in yourself, it's crazy because like this is going out there, and I do know people are gonna hear this, even though when I'm as I'm recording this now, it's is a weird thought, but I know people are gonna hear it. Some people are gonna hear this, you know what I mean? And that for me is like, well, there's a responsibility now to be able to spread as much of my wisdom as possible. Do you know what I'm saying? So, what to expect from me this year, what to expect from the podcast this year, what to expect in general from Will Star, Will's Way, whatever you want to call it. Do you know what I mean? Like for me, life is breaking down into three areas that's maintain reliability, that is my family. Do you know what I'm saying? 100%, and that also is the podcast, it's the Will's Way, it's the Will Star kind of brand and all the rest of it. And all of these things are gonna be integral for me to be able to push through. You know, the music's gotta be inspiring, the music's gotta be able to say and have and carry a message, of course, it's always been that way for me. And Will's Wayne needs to be able to just to be able to reach people's ears, and this ain't about how many, this is like about who's with me. Do you know what I'm saying? This is what this is about. And if one person listens to this and and gets inspired, bro, I'm we I'm grateful. I'm grateful anyway. Do you know what I'm saying? Like I don't have to do this, but I want to do this. Do you know what I mean? I wanna make sure it's cool, I wanna make sure people are locked in. Do you know what I mean? I want to make sure that as well people can just take little gems, man, and then consistently pop that into their lives to be able to complete the section. So, guys, thank you so much for tuning into this one. I really appreciate your time. Keep it lots, you know. We're gonna do we're gonna do two a month for these podcasts, bro. So, do you know what I mean? And maybe I'll maybe slot a few in here and there. Do you know what I'm saying? But look out for the clips, guys. Honestly, um, I'm gonna try to cut a few of these cool little things I've said in there. I don't even know what I'm gonna cut yet, and that's the beautiful thing. But when I do, yeah, stick, stick around, man. I I appreciate it. Uh, make sure you follow, subscribe, all of that beautiful stuff, guys. Take it care and keep it love. Bless.
